Busy Weekend!

Alfie and his friend Joel played phone tag all weekend. We were busy! Normally we avoid being busy, but sometimes it means we're doing lots of fun things. Friday night was movie night at church. Saturday afternoon we went to cheer on our friend Skohn as she did the Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota. Saturday night was You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown done by a community theater group - our friend Elin was a musician for it. Then on Sunday at 6:30 we saw Fiddler on the Roof at the Orpheum in Minneapolis. Topol played Tevye (if you don't know, Topol was Tevye in the movie version), and this is his "farewell tour" as Tevye so it was really fun to see. We had never been to the Orpheum before - it is a very grand, ornate theater. I'm not sure how many people it seats, but we guessed a few thousand, and there was not an empty seat in the whole place. We were in the balcony and spent our time before the show started and during intermission looking at the chandelier, the walls, the ceiling... There is a pretty decent picture of part of it here.

Wow, that's pretty impressive (the theater). I don't think I've been there either. What a fun weekend!!
