Dottie's surgery took a lot longer than anticipated. Once they got into it they found that her bladder doesn't look right, even aside from all the stones. The vet said that one part of the bladder wall is about ten times thicker than it would normally be. So they did a biopsy of that area, and we'll find out about that in 3-4 days. The good news for now is that we got another call from him at about 8:30 and he said she seems to be recovering well from the surgery so far. There was a concern about her ability to heal, considering how the whole tail thing went last summer and with her bladder being abnormal, but she is taking liquids and has urinated. Who knew you could be so happy about cat pee... The vet is going to call me again in the morning, but it sounds like we should still be able to bring her home tomorrow at 5.
The apartment feels different without our cat. We don't like it.

Poor Dottie, let her know that gramma is thinking of her and you guys. Tell her to focus on her new home and all the sunbeams that she'll beable to lie in and soak up the heat and heal
