Hidden Falls

We made an attempt to visit Como yesterday, but it was too busy. They have a new butterfly exhibit that just opened, so it's to be expected. We'll get to it sometime...

This weekend's park was Hidden Falls Regional Park in St. Paul. It's got 6.7 miles of paved trails. "Trails run along shady, wooded bottomlands next to the Mississippi River, past scenic picnic areas and connecting to the Mississippi River Boulevard parkway." It was an alright park. Quite a bit of road noise and boat noise, but some of the nooks for having a picnic seem like nice spots. We read somewhere why it's called Hidden Falls, but I can't remember - there is no falls.

I have two weeks of classes left, then we have our trip to Canada for Walter's wedding. When we get back we work a few days and then have a three-day weekend for the 4th of July. Classes start again Monday, July 7. My next classes are Accounting 2, Excel, and Intro to Literature.

Dottie has claimed the deck as her own once again this year. Last night a June bug was buzzing against the screen and she sat right there, stalking. We've had hummingbirds, finches, cardinals, and bees visiting.
