Over the long weekend we got to see our friends Joel and Renee. We went to see the Walker Art Center's sculpture garden (home of the iconic cherry and spoon) and also got to walk through the exhibit "Design for the Other 90%" about technologies that aid the survival of the poor. There are a couple of photos on Joel and Renee's blog. After some meandering we drove over to Theodore Wirth Park (last week's park - see previous blog post) to share the quaking bog with Joel and Renee. Some of the white flowers were blooming in the bog this week.
The storms that came through on Sunday were a bit nerve wracking, but our plants came through it alright. They all got moved up close to the building where the wind can't hit them so much. Dottie hid under the kitchen sink. When the storms were past us I opened up the cabinet door and told her she could come out now. She meowed at me and headed for the couch.
