Last weekend we went to the Slice of Shoreview. This is our third summer here, but our first time going to the Slice. There were some really good mini donuts and a great fireworks show.
This weekend there are three art shows going on in Minneapolis. We went to the Loring Park Art Festival this afternoon and had a nice time. We found a great artist. Her name is Amy Wood Thomas - she does sculpted acrylic abstracts on canvas or paper, and each piece is based on a certain Bible verse. Check her out at http://www.amywoodthomas.com/. One of the pieces that she had on display at the festival was this one. I think that was my favorite (Maria).
In other news, there was a grasshopper hanging out in the petunia basket today. He seemed to be enjoying himself.
