We had a nice trip. Devonian Gardens in downtown Calgary was a neat place to wander around, and we had dinner at Red Lobster with Alfie's parents. We got to see the land Mark and Cheryl (Alfie's sister) bought and are building on soon, and the kids got to have fun with their Uncle Alfie on the trampoline. Alfie and I even had a chance to spend some time in the mountains one afternoon/evening. We had dinner at David Thompson Resort and I got a picture of Alfie coming down the big slide. Alfie's uncle's wedding was nice, and our trip to the Calgary Zoo was hot but mostly fun. :) There were baby peacocks and a baby elephant!
Dottie did alright while we were gone, except that our regular vet was out for the week so when my parents took her in for a bandage change they saw someone different. It didn't go well, and they tried to put her back on antibiotics too. They got my parents to bring her back in for another bandage change before we got back (this was not the original plan), and it was Saturday, and when they got home she got her bandage off. So she was bandage-less until we took her to the vet when we got back on Monday. Thankfully her tail is still healing well. Our vet showed us how to change the bandage ourselves at home now. We'll be doing that for the first time sometime in the next couple of hours before we go to Stillwater for jazz and fireworks. If you don't hear from us again soon, send in back up.
