Bring on the Hostas

It was time to plant along the north side of the house!

Early stages... There was a lot of dead sod from the egress window project of last fall, so that had to go. As we took out good sod for the new gardens we put it where the dead sod used to be. (It has been quite a few weeks now and it's alive! Yay!)


We gave the garden a curvy shape along the edge...

Some plants we got as divisions from friends, others we got from the nursery.

And even some garden decorations!

You can see the columbine, astilbe, and bleeding heart blooming in this picture.

And now it has been a while again since those pictures. Below you can see we have sod in (but still no mulch... we'll get there) and also an overview of the other section now planted.
