Painting

Back when we moved in we painted the living room and our bedroom right away. It was great to get it done before the furniture was in so there was nothing to move out of the way! Now we're finally getting around to some other painting projects... First off, the bathroom.

Before, with paint samples:

We wanted to try to match the little accent pieces in the tile, which took us quite a few paint cards before we figured we were close and got some sample paint. Alfie also wanted to move the electrical outlet into the side of the sink cabinet and fix up the walls.

After:

Up next: Finding new light fixtures. One of the ones we had ended up broken, which we weren't all that sad about...  It's tricky, because we don't want them to stick out much from the wall so they don't get knocked like the other ones did. But most bathroom light fixtures stick out at least 7-8 inches. We found some beautiful ones, but they are too wide! So the search continues.
