The morning of our second day in Yellowstone was sunny and beautiful - perfect for waterfall viewing! There were rainbows! We did Uncle Tom's Trail, which comes with a difficulty warning... but it is worth doing. There was another interpretive sign that had an old picture of women doing this trail when it was still the original Uncle Tom's Trail with rope ladders - in their long layered dresses and who knows what sort of shoes. Craziness.

We also saw the view from Artist Point... beautiful.
We drove through Dunraven Pass that day (8859ft/2700m) and made stops for looking out over the mountains. The Tower Fall area was a nice stop, and we checked out the petrified tree. We made it to Mammoth Hot Springs by late afternoon, and that's where we were staying for the night so we saw it again in the evening. Evening viewing at Mammoth was best - hardly any people, and the sunset in the background! We didn't have cameras along then, though, so you'll just have to see for yourself someday...
