We were going to go to a New Year's Eve party this year (as opposed to our usual New Year's activity: going to bed). But I was tired and had a headache... so tradition lives on. Today, however, we went to a New Year's Day party at our Nigerian neighbors' place. They live in the apartment next to ours. We tried various Nigerian foods, watched a video of their church service here and a huge party in Nigeria, met lots of their family and friends. It was a fun time.
Christmas was nice. My parents came over Christmas Eve for dinner and presents, then on Christmas Day we all went to Wisconsin to visit family. We also got to see our friends Tom and Leah a couple of times the week of Christmas since they drove down here to fly out of this airport. It was good to spend some time with them.
We are sending "Christmas" letters still... They are more like New Year's letters now, but they're happening. They are getting mailed off tomorrow.
